Hi all,
Wanting to change the springs on a car but need some spring compressors. Anyone have a set that they would be happy to hire for a 6 pack? Located around Jamboree Heights QLD.
Thanks all
They are only $60 or a bit less from SuperCheap Auto...might be worth having too
$60 each though and Im told you need three to do it properly?

I would just buy them anyway so you have them. Never know when they could come in handy again![]()
Yeh i got some from total tools for bugger all a couple of year ago, definitely worth having a set in your collection.
Yep, I bought a set of cheapies years ago and they have done any number of front struts without probs. Save the slab for yourself and get a set for now and later.
OK, Im getting convinced that purchasing might be the way to go - but looking on the supercheap website I can only see these
Stanley Coil Spring Compressor - Supercheap Auto Australia
And it looks like its only the one? Is this a pair or is there a different type?
I have a set, but I'm yet to use them on a Commodore, and then only a couple of times on other makes. Always go from standard to low, so I have never needed to use them. I have posted up a couple of times in different threads on how to do it without compressors.
But if you are fitting standard springs or it's not a Commodore then you very well may need them.
Thats a weird add on the super crap site. They are usually in pairs so its probably a typo
Its definitely a pair from Supercheap, I bought a pair from them a couple of weeks ago.

They're the same as mine. Definitely sold as a pair and they do the job just fine on Commodores.
