Tips for replacing a 5L engine and gearbox
This weekend I am going to attempt an engine and gearbox replacement on my VS statesman.
All and any tips, or walkthroughs would be thoroughly appreciated.
Alot of people try wrestling them out thru the bonnet but sometimes it is easier to drop the motor/box out with the X member and suspension complete, not suggesting either way but just for ideas.
If you have never done an injected car then it is usually easier to disconnect the harness at the computer and leave the wiring on the motor, this is how holden assembled them.
