high pressure cleaner. help needed

I've been using a Karcher (like the one below) from a tap without a problem but can't get it to draw water from a bucket.

Can some one point me in the right direction to get it to draw from a bucket? thanks

Drawing water from a bucket switch to the car washing nozzle. Had the same problem with a similar unit.
