Using vinyl dye for fabric seats?

hey guys im wondering iv seen around on a couple sites and youtube that you can use VHT vinyl dye to re colour your fabric , has anyone tryed this at all and how good does it work/look? I want to do all four seats and door trims

ive seen it done in a mates car it looked like shit to me ,and i didnt want to sit in it for fear of the crap wearing off onto my clothes.

i supose it doesnt look as good as leather i just wont to see some photos of it can you get hold of some mate?

he got rid of the car years ago so no pics. he did it in black and it was real obvious the seats were painted a lighter colour would have probably come up better

Ive painted leather seats with it that has slight fabric in the middle , came up alright , the leather came up perfect but the fabric was meh allright
