Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I just want to throw some props out to PCARS at Kippa-Ring/Redcliffe.

Also known as "Northside Radiators" according to Google.

As you may know, my radiator popped on me last week, and after ringing around and getting quotes ranged from $250 - $700 for a recondition, and around $295 - 470 for a new radiator, I found "Bazzas Radiators" [Now known as PCARS] at Redcliffe, so, being fairly close to my work at Sandgate, I though I'd give them a holla. I asked if they reconned radiators, yep, so I asked for a price for a VL radiator recon, and at first I thought I misheard him, but after asking the price again, he told me $99. So I took it down yesterday arvo just before he closed, and got it back today, and let me tell you, he did a fantastic job! I haven't ran the VL with the radiator yet as it got too dark for me to bleed the system etc, so it'll have to wait till' tomorrow, but after talking with the guy who runs it [Forgot his name, Mark I think or Troy or something], I knew I had found my new cooling guy to go to!

I first saw he had a 5 star rating on TrueLocal, so I thought hmm he might be alright, but he basically told me I had a major hole at the top-left of my radiator, the shoulders were cracked and I had a few cracks on the sides, all of which he fixed for the same price, $99. When asked why it was cheap compared to other places, he told me he's been doing radiators for 15 years and he likes giving good prices and good advice as it keeps the people coming back. He doesn't get all that much business, depending on the weather/season etc, but he says he enjoys doing it, and especially loves doing the older cars.
I had a chat to him, asking what else he did etc, and he does anything from standard repairs, to full recons, to getting in new radiators, even doing full on custom inter cooler setups!

He's a really nice bloke, genuine and down to earth, really knows his stuff and the prices are the best I've seen, around the area at least, so I told him I'd throw some props out to the guys on JustCommodores, so if you're in/around that area, or wouldn't mind travelling 30-40 mins for great service, great prices and very good quality work, I highly suggest you check him out!
