POLL: Should I put a VX bodykit on my VS ute

I just bought a white 1996 series II VS ute.

It has a completely stock standard body.
It is lowered a little bit, and has tinted windows, and still has the side strips on it.

Should I put a VX clubsport bodykit on it, and maybe remove the side strips?
Or leave it all stock?

I asked a few of my mates, and they all seem to like it the way it is.

What do you guys think?


It is a dirt bike riders car....so it will be constantly going down dirt roads and stuff.

I'll say no to the body kit, but at the end of the day, it's ur choice. Check out the vr-s ride section and have a gander at some cars that have this kit already and u decide if u like it. I dont like doing this but even check out street commodores my ride section.

Check my ride to see what it will look like. If you want to go over any bumps higher than a coke can, forget it. I keep damaging it on our farm roads. Otherwise, I think they look great personally.

Hell no! Later model bodykits don't fit right on the gen 2 commodores. They hang too low, unless you have 20" wheels they make your wheels look tiny and scrape on every bloody surface. From the front they also flare out sideways at the bumper edges looking stupid. They don't fit the shape of the car cause they weren't designed to. If you want a bodykit then get one designed for a VR/VS

Don't do it...later body kits on older cars just don't look right. If you want a body kit, go with a VS SS or HSV body kit.

Thats the whole point of personalising cars.. making them the way YOU want them to be. Who gives a crap what other people think? I have a laugh at some of the stupid stuff I see people do to their cars, sure, because they dont suit my tastes. Others like to flame mine.. hey go for it I am suited up. But the guy with the ricer with the 8 foot whale tail and flouro orange and green paint loves his car, and loves what he has done to it. Thats his right, its his car.

Its your car, do what you want to it. I think the VX front end looks good, check my ride and form your own opinion, but its probably not for you, if you are taking your car on dirt or bumpy roads. Unless you can get one with at least the bottom edge in rubber or plastic...
