what is the =muffler size required for Vt 98 commodore?

Hey all, I have a 98 VT commodore and i am looking to add a muffler to the end of the exhaust pipe. What size will I need? And willl this make the car any louder?

mabey talk to your local exhaust shop mate, tell them exactly what you want and they will give you idea's and prices, my mate has a vt with pacemaker extracters, 2.5 inch straight pipe and a hot dog and it sounds pretty loud and thats a v6
