Default soft brakes on 2004 vy s pac ute with abs

Hi i have just bought a 2004 vy s pack ute with abs and the brakes feel soft, the front and rear brake pads look in ok condition.

the brake fluid is full and there is no noticeable leakes from any where,im thinking the brake master cylider might need replacing.

Has any one had simmilar problems with a vy? i have searched and read through a lot of threads on here but can not find any matching threads. cheers.

the brake pedal seems to go half way to the floor, if you push them hard it pulls up ok.

The first thing to do is bleed the brakes thoroughly. Just because the master cylinder is full doesn't mean the system is free of air. Do this before spending money on new m/c's or anything else.
