how to re-trim lower doors on vx/vt

Hey guys iv re trimmed my doors on my vx looks great and im wanting to do the next bit just under the door inserts
What would be the best way to do them ? I was thinking about taping the whole door trim off with newspaper taking the window winder off and spray the glue all over it then lay the swade down , once stuck down trim it up and use a flat-head screwdriver to tuck it under the edges .. dodgy but thats the only way i can think of
