    Default Grey reuseable air filter

I was given one of these. I believe K&N Filters are red. This looks exactly like one but grey, no brand or markings. Anyone know what it might be and if its worth using?

K+N filters aren't actually red. The oil you put on them is red. I have a K+N pod filter and it was filthy i cleaned it n stuff and it came up grey, then you re-oil it and it comes up red again.

Its possible some filters are actually red, but the one i have is definately a grey K+N pod filter.

Brendon Porter ^^ Is on the money mate.. Un oiled K&N filters are grey. If you re oil, be sure not to go over the top, oil + maf sensor is very bad.

Hmmmm... Carby cleaner and MAF sensors aint great either. I put the pod on my courier and had to replace the maf sensor not long after...it was either the carby cleaner i sprayed on the sensor or too much oil on the filter dunno...Probly both.

Yep, probably both. Electrical contact cleaner is what you should use to clean your MAF sensor. And very lightly oil the filter, really MAF sensors and oiled filters don't go together.

Is the spray oil any better? I have read a bit about oiled filters and MAF sensors and the recommendation is to avoid them.
