Just looking around and there are a few kinds like 3300k, 4500k, 5000k globes.. Are they bright like the normal or just apeer white to on coming traffic?

i would prefer to see where i am going over other people seeing me 'better'

any headlight contrasts very well against the darkness of night.

I used to have them - what a waste of $27

if you want the white look go hid's, the way halogen globes achieve the white look is by having a blue coating which reduces light output

I bought a set of 'white light' headlights of ebay from hong kong.. $2 with P&H..
Awful in rainy nights.. Great IMO in normal night.. Had a few people tell me they are bright..(never been flashed by oncoming traffic or had cops pull me up) Have a real blue tinge..

Don't waste your time with white globes and go for HID's, and you'll wonder how you ever lived without them.

Questions asked by others need not be repeated thousands of times because some body was to lazy to take 5 seconds of their time to search.

I have HID's on my VX, Had them for around a year now, they are 6000k, havent been pulled over yet, In the first week of installing them i got flashed twice but after aiming them down a tad i havent been flashed since. They are nice white light and they light up sign's alot better but i find there not very good in rainy weather. When i installed them i was expecting a massave diffrence but its wasent that massave, light up sign's better but thats about all, im sure when i get the projector beam headlight's they will make the HID's really shine! my current headlights arnt to crash hot as the plastic is all foggy.
They take about 3-4 seconds to warm up to full brightness, they turn on straight away just take a few sec's to get to full.

Sigh. Might as well be helpful I guess considering you refuse to search. Get Phillips +100 globes in H4. HID's in vehicles not made for them just fail. /thread.

Try this, I think it answers most of what you want to know...
    HIDs vs Halogen lights
Its my own experience with experimenting with lights, you will find the lights half way down the page..

I think you are being a little harsh personally. The OP hasnt revived anything regards your hatred of HID lights, he has just asked for advice on the best kind of lights to get.

He asked about white lights, not HID specifically. Even Halogen lights are available in different spectrums. Others have suggested HIDs, all the OP asked was which lights he should buy. He also asked for information from people who already had various kinds of lights and what their opinion of them was.

Maybe you should simply answer his question, which is a little different from the standard HID questions you want him to search for, and simply tell him what kind of lights you use and what you do and dont like about them?

I have Phillips diamond vision globes and they do the job for me and also look good. Why bother getting hid's when there illegal for your models and are very distracting to oncoming traffic!?
