suzuki vitara (not commodore related i know :S)

hey guys just seeking some advice or help. I know its a commodore forum but all the fourbie forums are proving to be pretty useless.

I pick up my new project 89 vitara in a few days with a 8v 1.6l suzuki 'G' engine in it. The motor has a crack or hole in the block apparently and is a throw away job. I plan on sticking a decent second hand motor in it and getting it going again so i can take it out on weekends. The question i have is does anyone know what motors bolt straight in as a replacement?

I Dont think il be bothered with converting to EFI or a v6 conversion or anything, just a carboretted 1.6l. I have researched engines but cant seem to get a 100% answer, i know for a fact one of the holden barinas used the G16A engine, the same as the vitara. does anyone know what model or year though? And apparently the Suzuki Swift was the same as the Barina?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Just replace it with another g16a try to find some selling one ona forum all there wreckers I tried wanted around $1200

Suzuki baleno ran the carby 1.6 aswell, I think the barina's were all g13a's and g13ba's.
