need help with a 253 eng no

hey all, ive just bought a 32 international rat project(im stoked) however the eng no. is one ive never heard of, its a 253 and the engine no is -YR 8847- being a 4 digit no i presumed it to be early like ht but i cant find an engine prefix -yr- its definitely a Y not a V. IF ANYONE COULD SHED ME SOME KNOWLEDGE I WOULD MUCH APPRECIATE IT.

Most of the numbers I have recorded start with a Q, V, W, or Z. I dont have any info on the early 253's

I no nothing about engine no's but ive heard some re manufacturing places do stamp there own numbers to a block after the rebuild it.

yeah i would guess thats a restamp.
