    Default Towing on green P's

I've been searching this forum for about 30 minutes, I've been on the VIC roads website as well
and I can't for the life of me find out, with any clarity, whether or not I can tow a trailer on green P's.

Any info would be good. Cheers.

Below info is from the Victoria section on the wiki page.
(Don't know if i would trust it though, might want to call Vicroads and just ask over the phone.)

Driver's licence in Australia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"The same P1 restrictions apply, except P2 drivers may tow trailers and use a handfree mobile phone. The peer passenger restriction does not apply to P2 drivers. They must display the white-on-green 'P-plates', rather than the red. If a person is over 21 when licenced they go straight onto the P2 licence for three years."

As said above, You can tow on Green p's, but not reds unless supervised by a fully licensed driver.

Since always, it was only when they bring the P1 & P2 shit in they stopped P1's using a handsdree kit.
BUT if you plan to use handsfree read up on the requirements, its pretty strict, a bluetooth head unit does not cut it, the phone has to be secure and all other shit from memory.

Yeah I was in the RTA yesterday and while waiting for Christmas I picked up a brochure on P Plate drivers and in NSW, P1 drivers are not even allowed to have a mobile phone "ON" when their driving...

    How harsh is that!

P1 and P2 Probationary licence restrictions : VicRoads

Seems a P2 cant use a Mobile phone now.... I swear they changed it so they could when they brang in all those new Mobile Phone laws which is why I went out and spent the money on an "approved" handsfree system. Faggots.

EDIT: I cant read, you can use handsfree, you cant use a handheld, well no shit Vicroads thats not a license restriction.

hey atleast you can tow on your greens on your own.
what about using cb radios on green p's. as technically that isnt a phone now is it?

however dont you find it strange you can tow on red's with a fully licenced next to you. even if they dont know how to tow?
how about we make the pedals out of sticky rubber and the shoes with steel spikes. at least my shins would like that

I towed my race car all around vic on my green ps. Same rule applies to not towing. Don't be a douche and you won't get in trouble. Although in relevance to your question..... Don't know XD
