what would be a better car to buy?

What is a more reliable car a vy s2 with low k's about 130 000 or a vz with about the same k's? both v6, auto! the ecotec is known to be a good engine they have been doing it since the vs! how is a alloytec in the early vz? if i did go vz should i am for 2005 or up?

I'd buy the one that has been best maintained. Nothing wrong with the Alloytec for basic transport but they suffer from sludge if you stretch the oil/filter changes. As per the book is adequate in normal operation but it doesn't hurt to bring it forward a bit.

ecotec all the way as a merchanic i would chose a ecotec over a alloytec. i have worked on both and i have a vy v6 for a reason

Why would it be? Its the same engine.

Id go the ecotec, but if the alloytec has been looked after well, then buy that.
