FPV Black Edition

I thought the Black edition wasn't on sale ?. Fully registered one at Deer Park ford binks yesterday. If you missed it at the motorshow go down (if it's still there) and see it.

Are you sure its the black edition?
I can see a few differences with the above and the actual black edition concept below:

Also, if it was just at the motorshow it wouldnt have come into production (if it ever was) that quickly i would imagine.

Yes it is the real deal. Ford failed and released a sticker pack. Thought there already was a thread on this.

they put it into production but its not the same as the concept at the motor show.. it has a normal GT front bar, normal wheels just painted black... its about as half arsed as HSVs black edition

Really, the FPV Black at the show was a con.

1. FPV always intended for the black to go on sale no matter what their press release might indicate - their sales brochures were printed in early june - weeks before the show opened.
2. The retail version is little more than a lot of black paint and stickers. All the good show stuff such as brakes, suspension, front bar etc etc etc are GORN!

I was critical of the HSV Black effort but at least their show representation was the real deal.

Even inside it's full on black. i'm not sure why they did it as its the big thing today to have black/dark rims on cars. just buy a Black GT and get black rims.

saw one at the royal adelaide show and didnt realise it was a black edition till a saw the small info stand saying it was a black edition (i thought it was a black gt)

doesnt look too bad in person for a ford

One would assume a Supercharged V8 would have the edge over a NA V8, its not like thats breaking news to anyone.

IMO I would have rathered to see the Stealth FPV as...a show car. Its now a cheapened sticker special.

No idea what what on show at Adelaide but the Melbourne International Motor Show car has had all the good bits deleted for the production model. Sticker specials FTL!

GM has the 5.5lt V8 in the works. it should do the job. rumored to be 440hp 330kw?. by the time holden stuff 8 mufflers and rape the tune it will have 40kw less.
