tranny problems... HELP!!!1

g'day guys,

yas driving along today and noticed my tranny (assuming) knocking in final gear at around 80 -90, bout 1600 rev.

does not do it any other time,

any ideas?

The obvious thing first is to check the transmission oil level and condition. How long since it was serviced? If the oil is dark red or brown, or if it smells burnt, try servicing the transmission before you spend any more money.

alright thanks mate, tranny has not been serviced for 20,000 so might try that first.
