Was picking up the food for a lunch function at work a few weeks ago in the VP and a big tray of curry went in the boot and spilled a bit on the carpet.. Its not all over it, Just in small places..
Short of going out and getting a carpet cleaner, what would you recommend to clean it with some stuff I have lying around at home??
Thanks

Injuns ?
remove carpet put it on the ground hose it down and scrub with a broom and soapy water hose again then hang it up to dry, thats how i have cleaned boot and interior carpet before.
i used normal clothes washing powder and my carpets came out mint with a bit of scrubbing with a broom, didnt notice any fading.took a while to dry but it was in a project car anyway so i wasnt in a hurry.
Dish washing liquid won't fade your carpet. Go nuts.
I did the same with one of the foot matts in the Berlina, somethin was stinkin in the back seat and i still don't know if it was spew or milkshake - or both.
Thanks guys.. All these are great idea's...
Since im a lasy bastard, I might try to find the gurni tomorrow![]()
Washing powder and a Scrubing brush ftw. P.s Does it smell like an indian's taxi :P .
Thats odd you think it would have that indian smell lucky you didnt have the food inside the car good luck with it anyway![]()
I knew that something would spill.. The big pot of miso soup always spills, so I demanded that I have another staff member with me to hold that at his feet, and then the other messy stuff went in the boot and the spicy fish (delicious I might add) stayed in the front for a nice snack![]()
Dishwashing liquid'd water and a heavy scrubbing brush worked a treat for the moulded carpet, for the big floor one, I worked out the stains with the brush & water, then hit it with the hose.. it wasn't drying fast (Because of the felt under it) so I tossed it in the washing machine for a spin cycle.. Noticed the colour of the water was brown coming out of it so I put it on blanket mode and its washing as we speak![]()
