Default Tiny amount of oil in radiator.

As the title says, it's just a few drops in the coolant when looking in with the cap off. Tiny amount of milky stuff under raddy cap, but very little. No coolant in oil or trans fluid. Is this worth worrying about? I'm thinking inlet manifold gasket. I'll repeat, though it's only a very small amount of oil, only noticable upon close inspection.
By the way it's an Ecotec.

Yes oil is mixing with the coolant and it might be head gasket. It could be a bad problem. Ur oil will turn into a milky colour and can cause probs after a while. Try not to drive car much. How many ks on the clock and r u keeping the car for a while

Only 145K on clock, over seviced, am keeping the car, but like I said, there's no coolant in the oil yet. Just the tiny bit of oil in the rad. I'm thinking inlet manifold gasket before head gasket?

Quick fix an it works in chemi weld. Put bottle in water. Drive for half hour with heater running full. Then wait for car to cool down. Change oil and filter and u will not have any probs. My mate done that 2 years ago and cat is still running good

Don't freak out. It is probably just condensation.

Edit: Are you looking in the coolant reservoir? Or under the oil cap?

Better off not using chemi weld it is a quick fix and works good as gold. I have used it and it lasted over 80 000 on my old car. Pressure test the system to find where the leak is. If u no anyone with the pressure tester that would be good. If not just local mechanics to sus it out. Better off sooner than later when it could do much more damage

The radiator cap had the tiniest amount of milky stuff under it. The oil and oil cap are fine. Checked rad and oil again since I got home from work today and now there is no milky sludge and no visible oil floating in the raddy neck. I dunno, now it all seems fine AND even when it did look a touch oily, it was only A VERY TINY AMOUNT. Reservoir is nice and green, looks normal. May be nothing to worry about, but I'll keep an eye on it.

    Hey Mate.

I Would Not panic at the moment. I Have 200k on the clock of both my ectocs. The VY has some white sludge in it, but i replaced the radiator cause the side tank let go. been fine since. VX only has a little but im not worried.
My Bet is either the Trans cooler pipes are leaking into the coolant in the radiator, or as mentioned the inlet gaskets.

Do you run GMH coolant ? When I had the radiator replaced in my VS a couple of years ago, the radiator guy used Tectaloy Gold coolant to fill the system after the flush. He said he never liked to use the GMH coolant because it left a milky / oily residue. Not sure whether it is fact or fiction but something to investigate further ?

No I've only ever used Repco coolant.
Like I said above, it seems to be all good now, maybe I wiped the reservoir dipstick with an oily rag or something? LOL, but all looks good now. Thanks for the replies, but if it shows up again I'll look at replacing inlet manifold gasket.

They sometimes have a little sludge anyway, but that being said, Inlet manifold 9 out of 10 times (mine was that also - but it took 190,000k's i got lucky)

Yeah, thanks mate, but there has been no more sign of oil since about a week ago and even that was the tiniest little bit. I'm thinking I may have wiped the reservoir d'stick with an oily rag or something. Anyway I'm keeping an eye on it everyday and all is well. When or if it happens again, I'll do the inlet mani gaskets. Thanks mate.
Seems to be prob solved ATM......
