Hello all,
After using 2nd mode or whatever its called on my dash (Hold down mode + set on the trip computer when you start the car) I was watching the temperature.. My car seems to sit between 92 - 94 degrees (looks just under half on the analogue temp gauge). This was sitting at about 90km no air con.
What is everyone else experiencing? I would have thought this was quite hot but it seems to be normal for my car.

mine sits about the same just under half at the same temp. and just had a new water pump and cleaned out radiator.
My car is hawwwt that the needle stays on H even when it's turned off , Holden Pimpin
Mines always around 1/3 - just shy of half on the analog.
On the digital, I would consider it being "up to temperature" above 90*c +.

Mine sits the same too. Feel better now that I know it appears to be normal. My VR used to sit at 1/4. My husbands Territory sits at a nudge under half too.
So seems my VR just ran cooler than the other cars. It wasnt an ecotec though.
Half way. Which i'm not happy with entirely coming into summer. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on an alloy radiator and 82 degree celsius thermostat.

Around the first line on my temp gauge shows that the coolant temp around 80-90 degrees C on the tech 1.(I dont have a level 3 dash to show the actual temp readings, so I use the tech 1 for engine coolant temp readings etc.) At half way on the temp gauge, the coolant temp is showing around 102 -105 degrees C which is around the temp where the cooling fan cuts in.
A mate of mines VS goes up to 3/4 berfore the cooling fan comes on and drops the temp back to half way. Theres a few like this that Ive read about before on here,Im glad mines not like this,It doesnt leave much room for error. And Ive had mine overheat once before and I didnt get the audible warning chime like some people get, must be a dash level thing, mines a level 2 so maybe doesnt have a chime for overtemp. The low fuel and handbrake on warning chimes work perfectly though..
