Gday all
Had a look under my VY SS the other day and noticed both of my cats have been scraped over a few too many speed bumps.
The scraping has cause some small sliced gaps.. (i can see the 2nd layer inside the cat barely) not too big but enough to notice..
Im thinking this could be repairable??
What products could i use? maybe some pliable 2 pac metal glue?? I do recall i used something like that 10+ years ago with furniture work
With my cats being like this, i would of lost power right and it would be much louder than it should be?
Ive only had the car for a little while..
I appreciate the help!
Edit- The outer layer of the cat is just the heat shield right? So would the gas's be escaping from the slices?

Save yourself the hassle and buy new ones then you have the option of hi flo's too.. Will save you time and money in the long run IMO
VE SS 6LTR
Already are hi Flos mate.. i would prefer to put the cost of 2 new cats and installation somewhere else on her
If it's just the heat shield worn through then I would leave it and avoid more scrapes
Cheap, fast, reliable.....you only get to choose two.
You won't lose any power as the internal shape of the cat woudn't have changed.
