Hi Guys,
I can't seem to find any info on this after a bit of a search.
I am planning on getting the USB ALDL for a VR V8 and it comes with the EFI live evaluation cd.
How long does the evaluation last and are alternative programs available that are free. I am interested in the software and cable but won't use it enough to warrant paying US199 for the full version. Any loopholes available to prolong the evaluation version or is it a war that cannot be won?
Any info, advice or experiences appreciated!
Thanks in advance
EDIT - Just noticed some threads closed as the OP is looking for a "cracked version". Legal info only! Thanks
Terrible cough you have! Thanks for the info, is $60 a decent price for cable and efi CD? Realise it is overpriced for a chunk of plastic but still looking for something cheaper.

what do you wanna do with it? i have the obd2 version and a bunch of *free* [cough cough] programs which work to retrieve/clear error codes etc but there are loads of limitations, for example the are no plug-ins to clear abs error codes from the mustang, even thought its all part of the same smart-box.
i have had the most success with proscan so far.
have a hunt on here: delcohacking.net • Index page
EFI Live? Its a free program and you pay for the cable (the box that reads / tunes the computer).
EFILive - is that what your after? I payed just over $600 for my V2 which will read / tune any 5.7lt, 6lt and more. Yes I can justify paying that as I tune my own car and a couple of others

I think I must of misunderstood what evaluation version means. I thought that evaluation version of EFI live is like a trial version that expires. Is the evaluation version something that doesnt expire but functions only to evaluate diagnostics etc, no altering?
I don't have any real reason to have one, mainly intrigued as to what half of the programs are capable of.
Check out efilive.com and see the earlier versions of the program. It will also have a list of engines / transmissions supported. Alternatively, If a Version 1 EFILive cable will read your vehicle, I have one for sale ($100). If you want more info on that, please PM
