Negative ones.. they are there for protection and seperation of parts along with stopping stones etc.
They also provide aero dyamic properties.

There's no valid reason to do so.

And personally I don't want more stones and other roadside crap going up anywhere near my fuel tank or pump.

they are just rubbish.. iv got mine removed in my vr with the lip folded over so tyres dont scrape (front) and the rear is rolled... but thats cause my car sits on ultra lows so if yours isnt lowered then theres realy no point.. its your choice tho personally i would remove them.

yeh but alot of parts on standard cars are for a specific reason sorta like the bellmouth in the buicks are in there to restrict airflow cause customers where complaining about excessive wheelspin and angry idle (apparantly) in series 1 vn when they first come out so you take them out for more power.. i only took mine out cause its low and i didnt want the tyres ripping them out from rubbing catching against them all the time while driving other then that i prob would of kept them in... just like mikecuzzy said its probaly to protect stuff from stones and crap flying up or whatever idk lol

You're tyres and suspension just don't work with the car, I understand you like the look, but I would be cautious about removing bits of you car to make it work.

Glad, just don't hit a pot hole! Upload a pic if you can, would like to see just how thin they are lol. I've got some mates with very thin tyres - I have 15' stockies myself!
