Just wondering what a decent price to sell a set of genuine 15x7 interceptors with 85-90% Bridgestone tread & genuine centre caps would be?
I'm selling these but didn't realize the interest i'd get and getting alot of offers (2 of which were $300) and want to sell them for what they're worth.
Be good to get some feedback & some knowledge.
Thanks
rims=25 bucks each
tyres depends on what tyre. you cant just say bridgestone. otherwise they could be the 80 bcuk jobbies, so would be worth around 20-25 bucks each used.
have a look on ebay, and see what the final prices there are.
I'm looking for a set of 16", to suit a ve, and steelies generally go for less than $200.
Sets of rims, no tyres, are on offer for $100, but no takers.
If someone's offering you $300, I'd suggest that you take it ... really fast.
Forgive my ignorance but are interceptors just a fancy, non-cheap name for steelies?
As above mate, it's whatever people want to pay.
I saw some on ebay the other day for $400.
That being said I saw some rusty old ones on the side of the road on hard rubbish....
I bought some last week, found them on gumtree, paid $50 bucks with 65% on the front and 25% on the rear....
Or here's another indication to go off:
4 Interceptors with bridgestone tyres
This guy has the same as you but worse off tread, so maybe you could push out another $100 or so.
Depending you find the right buyer...
FyFee: yes, I beleive that "interceptors" are steelies.
The trick is, Holden have two types of steel wheels: the black ones, on sedans and wagons, and the silver ones on utes. The silver ones have a higher load rating, and, according to a lot of people, you ought to fit a higher-rated (=more expensive) tyre on the silver rims.
The earliest Commodores had 14" rims; then for many years, 15" was standard; but the VE has moved to 16".
Depends on your state as already said. I am picking some up today (from this forum) and he was asking $250 for 4x interceptors with bridgestone load rated tyres from a VZ (plus centrecaps). Fair deal in my opinion! It appears they are more expensive in Melbourne but I haven't done much hunting around in that area.

If the rims are good, caps too and decent tyres as yours appear to be... maybe $250 if you're super lucky.
