It was quite interesting to see the Caprice being re-branded as a Daewoo.
Holden exports to Korea GM-Daewoo Veritas | Car Advice | Reviews
Holden started exporting a super luxo Caprice to China in CKD kit form. It was marketed as a Buick Park Avenue. Very similar in spec to the Veritas. Not many of either have been made - GFC kinda put a hole in things there.

Wish mine was the Daewoo. I want those rear seats.
Captiva
Cruze S1
Epica
Viva....
Just some of the Daewoo cars that are rebadged as Holdens.

Awesome, now I can ditch the chevy badges and put daewoo badges on my VR Ute! KDM FTW
+1 for daewoo badges LOL. Wonder if any idiot will do it? After all, people did start putting chevy badges on to follow a stupid trend. Vauxhall anyone?
Im going to stock up on daewoo badges. For when sv6 owners get sick of chev badges.

Add Barina to that list. Saying that Cruze is Korean is innacurate. Cruze was a global effort and built in several locations around the world. Most of the engineering was done by Opel.
Why do I get the feeling that the people most critical of certain cars have never driven them?![]()
Don't think that's really accurate
Captiva is based on GM's global theta platform which I believe was engineered by GM North America division
Cruze was GM global delta platform which was mostly Opel engineered
I'm not sure about where the viva and Epica come from, but I don't consider the Cruze or Captiva to be Daewoos by a long long way.
Aren't they made in the daewoo factory though?
GM build the cars in South Korea if that's what you mean. Doesn't make it a Daewoo though. Components for the cars and engines probably come from 100 different countries including India and China so surely you identify a car by who engineers the car, not where some of the components are made. Holden make Captiva V6 engines in Melbourne but that doesn't make the cars part Holden. Its still a global GM vehicle with badges to suit whatever local market they're selling to
