Anyone used or rate these front runners, looking at the dragstar x plys, there about half the price of MT's, will be running MT et drags 26/8.5/15's on the back just wondering if they will suit that setup and if anyone has had used them..
NANKANG DRAG FRONT RUNNERS suit 15 x 4 - 5 rims. SLICKS | eBay
bump.. anyone?
Front runners are front runners man, really doesn't matter what brand they are as long as they are skinny cross ply's. I have seen cars running those tyres without a drama.

ok cool, so you reckon its alright to run them on a space saver rim then? some say no, otheres say its ok to its just the tyre fitted to the rim thats rated @ 80kph. opinions?
ANDRA approved tracks don't like the space saver rims. A mate of mine does 120MPH on monaro space savers though no dramas

the 80kph sticker is not for the quality of wheel or anything along those lines,
it is just to save holdens arse when your running three big wheels and one little,
It's a shame ANDRA doesn't like em cause they look pretty good actually and are the only budget option to clear big front brakes.

I ended up getting a Perth engineer to make some for me, he said he can get the dishes and use the original gm center, or If I supply him 4 rims (commy 15" pursuit) he can also custom chop and make some, so I've sourced a set of 5 online @ $75 and the engineering only cost $150, so at a price of $225 I reckon that's a pretty reasonable price. Plus a matched set of pursuit front and back should look good.
And another thing should i be balancing front and rear cross plys? and run them tubed or tubeless?
May as well balance them as good as you can and tubeless is fine, only run tubes if absolutely necessary as if the tyre turns on the rim you'll tear the valve stem out and blow the tube.

Exactly! Mine are balanced and tubeless. Balancing is only a good thing, as anything to reduce highspeed vibration and make it feel more stable is only a good thing
