wh caprice

hi guys havnt posted on here in ages but here i am got a few questions about a caprice i bought yesterday

first being the climate when i accelarate goes to the window (doesnt change the little pic still says on face but blows up at the window) then when you back it off goes back to the face again also when your going up hills does it can rev it up the driveway and doesnt do it only seems to be under load

also the factory stereo doesnt have fm am works and the stacker works (although skips like crazy) but no fm aerial goes up and it has static but cant tune stations im buying another stereo for it but dont want to and then find out its not that

apart from that seems fantastic and i got it for what i think was a steal its only a v6 on gas but im gettin to old for v8's now lol and petrol is a killer

lastly a quick pic this is before ive even touched it exactly as i bought it ill put more up when i get around to detailing it....this is only a second car but i want all the little things fixed i hate things that dont work

looks nice mate get up some more pics, that first problem seems a bit wierd, as for the second one, not to sound rude but are you using it properly? it could just be old and a bit broken, especially if you say the stacker is skippy

Yea am works fine fm only has static when you try tuning it and cant find any stations also has no lights in the deck at all when you turn the car off i notice the screen lights up for a few second but when you have the car on no lights at all i guess as for the stacker the discs skip like there scratched even new disc guess ill just try another deck otherwise ill just drop an aftermarket cd player in it but would prefer to stay stock

ill get some more photots up 2moro after i give it a good clean

My Vx Berlina does the exact same thing, hmmmm maybe a vacuum issue?
Not sure how the CC works though whether is vac or full electronic control

When i find out what it is ill let ya know first yhing ill change the cc panel my brother has one in the shed so thats a good place to start lol

Just remembered I have a recently acquired repair manual

Condition: Air flow changes direction when vehicle is accelerated.
Cause: Vacuum system leak.

Action: Check vacuum system with hand vacuum pump for the switch connector. Service tubing or replace damaged components as required.

Cause: Faulty vacuum check valve.
Action: Replace

Ok cool cheers for that ill take it in to an aircon place get them to look at it they would probably know which one str8 away more than likely

is the ariel plugged in? sometimes they come loose and "unplug" themselves.

and just tried a few tapes to goes one side back to the other then the other then spits out the tape so im coming to the conclusion its buggered lol

am will work on just about anything. im only saying this because it happened on my old caprice
