Have been looking online at some cars, looking out for a new Sunday cruiser... and spotted this little beauty...

Not sure if the owner was smoking something other than rubber when they posted it.

I've spotted 5 mistakes so far... anyone got any more?

Looks like a HDT VK SS to me. Impossible to know without a body number/HDT build number. Definitely not a Group A. Even if it was a exec or similar, the seats etc could bring good money. If it is a SS, $30k might be a bit high but it could be in that ball park depending on condition etc. Hard to tell for sure from those pics but it looked ok at first glance.

You may want to check out the colour on the pillars on the interior shots. Get the feeling these photos were used for a reason!

my guess is the seats are genuine houndstooth, but the car just doesnt look right. doesnt the ss have sideskirts and a different rear/front bar?

Was it originally blue - Looks like a crap doors on respray but my eyes may be playing tricks.

Also missing rear wing, side SS decals and different colour rear garnish and lights. A brock should come with power windows and a badge on the glovebox also?

Yep. Completely different car.

It has been posted by the guys missus by the looks of it, she has googled "1985 HOLDEN COMMODORE SS GROUP A VK" and found these for interior pics.

Other things...

Calais badge on bonnet.
Lack of rear spoiler.

But yes, think the missus has submitted the whole ad and got the car she was told 'valued' by the website and went with it.

*edit: rang the owner - he says he forgot to get pics of the interior when he was taking photos so just put any pics there. Reckons it has the standard Scheal seats etc and the car is available for viewing. The only mods he has done is the calais badges and an aftermarket exhaust as the old one rusted out. I tend to believe him - easy enough to verify if he's bs or not.

Yeah. There were pics from the link DrJeckyl posted that they used for their interior pics. You could see the blue pillars.
