I've recently purchased a wk statesman it's only a 6, i can't drive a v8 or supercharged coz I'm on my p's.I want a bit more power any suggestions on what I can do??
Should have bought a commodore, statesman's are heavier, so power to weight ratio is down.
Legally you can't really do anything, and it will probably void your insurance.
Millions of others have asked the same question, try a search.
Bide your time, learn to drive and be happy with the vehicle you have. Once you have more experience on the road and premiums come down, look at a more powerful car. What you have is more than is needed to get from a to b in comfort.
Hey, I know what u mean man, i have a 6 also but a WL alloytec caprice. Rather sluggish of the line I must admit.
Do you have any mods on urs, CAI, exhaust, wheels.
They can all have negative factors of some sort of restriction.
The wheels add heaps of weight Iv realized.

The Statesman was never designed for performance, enjoy the comfort mate!
And really it's not bad performance for an ocean liner...

I'll be he comes to get you, some shopping trolley kind of thing, that gets you where your going nice and slow... Well off you go that's fine, the pleasure's all mine.

being a statesman i would say just keep it running nicely as any performance mods would only make you as quick as a normal v6 commodore so just save for more powerful car and just focus on it looking nice and having a nice sound system
If you're after a tiny bit of poke grab some manifold and plenum spacers from mace. Apart from that, catback, drop it and keep it clean.

P-plater, dont bother with power. Just make it look nice and get heads turning instead of the power bud (y)
agree with above comment.
keep it nice and so forth.
put money aside for powerful cars for when your off the p's. as do you really want to draw attention to yourself?
it might be hard to do, but the money saved for the next car will be worth it in the end.
