Hi all,
Had some new rims fitted a couple of weeks ago.
Yesterday I noticed these rust trails on them. Washed them last night and then when I got to work this morning there was more.
I'm thinking it might be coming from the rusted part of the discs....haven't had a rim off to have a look yet though.
Cleaning & Painting them should stop it happening ?
Anyone else had this happen ? Any other suggestions to stop it happening ?
Never had this happen before the rims were changed.
Cheers.

looks like its coming from the holes in the rim near the wheel nuts.
it will be coming off the mating surface between the wheels and disc.
+1^ This dude is on to it.

Thanks Guys.
Took the rims off today to have a look and this is what was there. Pretty much the same on all round.
Cleaned them up with a wire brush and sprayed them with some Gloss Black caliper paint.
Not the best job but they will do for now.
I'm not sure that it will fix the problem completely though. I've got a feeling that the rusty water may be coming from the holes in the rotor hub.
Oh well time will tell...either way, at least they look better now.
Well it's been a few weeks and washes now and all is good.
