Default Poor Fitting Of Hard Lid

    Hey Guys,

I've just joined as i have recently just purchased a MY12 VE Ute and had the hard lid put on it on Friday and think that it is pretty poor the way it has been done and interested in some opinions.

Did you used to own a BMW?

Options would be to go back to whoever installed it and let them know you're not happy with it. Nothing much can be done other than that...unless you fix it yourself and hope you don't make it worse

Yea that's a rubbish install! U don't need any sikaflex on the hinge mounts. If anything some clear silicone on the holes bbefore self tappers are screwed in to water tight holes!
    I would complain.
On the sides, what is there when no hard top? The bit they sikaflexed is that added when hard top is put on. Or is that ggap always there?

Nah no BMW just like to get your moneys worth, and shouldn't have to put up with shocking workmanship, that was my plan to take it back to them tomorrow just wanted to see what other people thought.

I cant remember if that gap is always there, but that bit is added on just to bring it up to the height of the hard top i suppose. Shall be going back tomorrow for a chat seeming as though they charge you top dollar for these things i may have screwed him down on price massively on the ute but still payed decent price for the Lid, looks a bit rushed to me. thanks for your opinion though
