Default Advice on Buying ski boat?

hi guys i know this might not be the place for it but, i didnt want to join a ski forum just to ask a few simple questions. has anyone on here got a ski boat? and if you do what type/ make and your thoughts please. i am looking into purchasing a boat around the 23k mark. i have looked at a few already and there are some really dodgy ones out there! eg. a bloke told me his 350 chev motor was rebuilt less than 5 hours ago, the spark plugs were rusted into the heads and the head gaskets looked like they were rusted together aswell luckily i knew a bit about these motors having one similar in my car, so i knew what to look for. so i have narrowed it down to either a camero legend series 2, 2003, 295 hrs or a malibu flightcraft, 1998, 320 hrs. any thoughts?

5 years is a long time, but i don't know ski boats ... more into fishing.
All depends on the price and condition, Oh and top speed OBVIOUSLY lol. Seriously, I'd be trying to suss out the owners- making sure they at least know how to flush the engine.

Hey mate, easiest way to go about buying a good ski boat is to make sure. Your getting one thats only been in fresh water. The series 2 Camero is a nice boat, and parts are still readily available from the Camero factory in adelaide.
Just need to get it checked over thoroughly and serviced before you head out on the water.

You have two good days when owning a boat, the day you buy it and the day you sell it...

BOAT stands for Break Out Another Thousand.....

Do allot of research on a particular model that takes your fancy and go view as many as you can even if its a few thousand out of your price range, that way you understand a good example when one comes up that's affordable to you.

A fresh water boat is the way to go but their hard to come past if you live near the coast, even then they would have to be a 1 owner boat for that to be believable.
