Default VN 5 speed conversion into a VR?

My brother has a 94 VR acclaim V6 auto and can pick up a 89 VN 5 speed for $400 to use for a conversion. Does anyone know if the box from a 89 model would fit it or if we would have problems fitting the flywheel. I'm more into VL's and don't know too much about VR's.

If its series 2 ya sweet, if series 1 I'm pretty sure there no good, unless a series 2 flywheel works with it?
With great cars, comes great drivers.

if its a series 2 which i highly doubt being a 89 model then it will go straight in but if its a series one you will need a series 2 flywheel because the series one is a 5bolt pattern and series 2 is a 8 bolt pattern.. not sure if you could use the same clutch or not with series one and 2 flywheels

    S1 VN is 6 bolt..

You could still use the conversion, except you would have to buy an 8 bolt flywheel
Hit me up with some reputation points if i've helped you out! (Star in the bottom left!) Cheers!

if the vn is a s1 all you have to do is hunt down a 8bolt s2 flywheel and there no easy to find second hand. A s2 flywheel new is about 460 or a light wight one is about 560 (clutch fits best just to buy a new one but)
