Hey guys and girls, I finally got my engine on the stand the other week and started stripping it.
This weekend I ripped a piston out and discovered it was an Acl piston. Considering I'm going to use a stroker crank when I rebuild it would it be worth keeping these pistons?
Any info would be helpful.
Cheers, Josh.
(I'm not sure if I've put this in the right section or not)
You're going to stroke a 253? Putting aside the obvious observation that it's a complete waist of time and effort, no you won't be able to use the same pistons with a stroker crank. You'll have to use a piston with a shorter pin/compression height to compensate for the extra throw of the stroker crank.
