The titles not very specific but I've asked all of my friends who drive and only a few know what I'm talking about.
Every now and again my current VT and my previous Telstar used to have what I called good days, Every now and again the car would just seem overly 'better'
It would accelerate faster, more responsive turning, nicer exhaust note, better sounding stereo, absolutely everything about driving the car felt better and I couldn't wipe the smile off my face
The same things happens to my bike as well.
Does anybody else have these "good days"
Just curious.
Sure do, a lot depends on the weather and the fuel you use. Make a mental note of the weather conditions and where you last filled up whenever it feels like it has more grunt and you will see a pattern for sure. For me the best weather is when its a reasonably warm day (not right in the middle of summer) but in the morning and evening when the temp just gets an icy edge to it. I noticed it too whenever I'd used a few tanks of shell fuel then put BP or Mobil it felt like it had more go straight away so I stick with those brands nowdays
i dont have good days but good times.
they are in the mornings going to work when it is freezing cold and not 1 other mongrel is on the road (well no morons that is)
and my fuel economy is superb when it is like this (8 per 100)
the car just feels better overall and i can actually drive it how i want to (not using brakes but gearing down for corners and roundabouts. going proper speed limits etc)
it feels much more responsive and touchy, but its probably just me still waking up at 5:30! =P
oh and the best day will be when it is not making any creaks, rattles, noises other then just a stock exhaust noise and the engine pedalling over.
however that day is yet to come.....
Are these "good days" always proceeding from "good nights" on the bong?
mungin on a iced coffee and a villis cheese dog....
I do, sometimes the engine is smooth, responsive, the car handles well all good.
Sometimes it's rough as guts.
That's normal, boils down to a whole bunch of things including your perception, atmospheric conditions on the day, what fuel you've used and so forth.

I'll be he comes to get you, some shopping trolley kind of thing, that gets you where your going nice and slow... Well off you go that's fine, the pleasure's all mine.
When I light the nitro on my HQ 454 Monroe!
well i found out this morning that the crazy noises that i thought were coming from my gearbox may have actually have been my water pump in its death throws... thats a "good" day for me when something really bad just turns out to be something bad but not quite as bad or expensive
lOl. If your car has good days and bad days for normal day to day driving it sounds to me like something is worn out and floats between "in alignment" and "out of alignment' as it sees fit. Beyond that the only good/bad days would be the IAT for a boosted car down the 1/4 mile
Reaper
Have to say I get it all the time, some days it feels how I want it to feel and other times it feels not right.

My VN has good days and bad, it's an angry pig sometimes and others everything just works.
Cheap, fast, reliable.....you only get to choose two.
I'm glad I'm not the only one......
My Vs has nothing but bad days lol, The more i drive it the more shit goes wrong with it haha.
Yeah once a month it'll feel like it's the best car to drive.. rest of the time its a pos.
Totally agree some days I wish my car was good but it feels like junk and then other days I get in and well I fall in love with it all over again
My VH has good day's and bad, being carby fed it's more noticeable with changes in weather and humidity conditions as there's no computer altering mixtures and timing on the fly.
Every single day is a good day when I get a chance to drive my 477rwkw from a blown LSx GTS![]()
My SS feels nicer to drive after a really good wash, wax, interior detail and especially when the wheels and tyres are clean.
From the title i thought this thread was going to be about depression.
Back on cars mine feels best in the early morning before sunrise. Probably cos there's less traffic then so there's room to drive it properly, and cos if i'm up that early i'm going fishing so in a good mood.
Good days are the cooler ones for my vr the transmission doesnt play up as much
and i dont have to worry about the a/c not working.
I Have good & Bad days in the same day. sometimes the car will feel crap, i will jump out, fill the car with fuel, get back in and feels great. I dont know what it is, maybe just crazy.
I can tell how mine is going to run as soon as I start it. And it will be different each time.
