hey guys im after someone with LS1/4L60E/3.9's that can tell me what gear and rpm you are at the end of the qtr? are you still holding 3rd or going into 4th?

In my ls1 at the end of the qtr I was in third when my car was auto sittin at the speed of 150ish n I think the rpm was around 4000,

It's all relative to the power your making, and your 60", tyre size, mph etc. I get close to the top of 3rd gear in mine at about 130mph in 3rd gear, on 26" slicks.
You don't want to shift to 4th, as it's an over drive.

What kind of power you expecting from the work your getting done? I'm pushing a touch over 400rwkw and still not requiring 4th. Must be expecting some serious mumbo if your worried!
Cheapest/easiest solution if you do find you are running out of legs is stepping up to a 27/28" tyre
power is staying the same, but im going from no stall and 3.45's to a dominator 3500 and 3.9's, i havnt taken it down the strip in almost 2 years so i cant remember what rpm in 3rd i was getting before, by the sounds of it ill be fine but

You want to be crossing the finish line redlining in top gear (1 to 1, not OD) to use maximum engine output.
