    Default Braking problems.

I have a problem when braking, when I apply the brakes firmly just like anyone would normally you can feel the whole car jolt a little and its exactly the same when taking my foot off the brake fast. But if I do it really really slow (applying brake and taking my foot off) there isn't any noise or jolt. I am 70% sure it is coming from the front left of the car.

At first I thought it was the discs or pads (yes I haven't even looked yet) so I bought some RDA Extreme pads and Brembo rotors and I was planning to fit them this week when I go to my brothers house as I'm in a apartment without anywhere to do it here. Anyway.. I told my brother that I will come there and do it during the week and he said it could be 10s of things but he didn't really specify anything when I asked him.

So anyway, Ill have the wheels and rotors off in the next couple of days, if nothing obvious jumps out at me what should I look for? If anyone else had similar problems and sorted it out, what was it?

Its a VT by the way, I changed the wheels on it a while ago and I didn't notice anything out of place then although I didn't really pay much attention.

Also on a side note, about once or twice a week my ABS and traction warning lights come on but usually go away once I restart the car again once or twice. I read ages ago its usually a connection that has dust or water etc in it, I tried doing a image search for them so I can see what they look like and where they are but all I find is pictures of the main ABS unit under the bonnet. Are the sensors/connections easily accessible to check for each wheel?

I know Ill probably find all this out later but knowing in advance wont hurt especially if I know what I am looking for.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help out a little.

More than likely your front dampner bush/s is stuffed.. ABS self diagnoses on every start up and if your lucky enough to have your foot on the brake pedal you'll feel it

probably a flogged out radius rod bush. you could change it while the rotors are off if you know how.

Thanks for the replies guys, I didnt have time to do much today but I had 20 mins so I took it to my brothers house and took the left front wheel off and took some pics and a quick video before I put the wheel back on and had to go again.

I'm no so sure what all the parts are called and I have looked them up and they have 2-3 different names but I have a general idea of what I need to replace.

Below this is the radius rod bush/caster rod bush?

Below is the rear side of the same as above.

Below this is the other end that its linked to, I think its called caster rod bushes as well?

Below I am guessing is the tie rod end rubber? I haven't looked it up but I think thats what it is.

And lastly these are the sway bar link rubbers? I think they look ok, Im not sure but the rods look like they are newish OEM parts.

I guess I'm up for a fair bit of cash and hours under the car, I didn't get to look at anything else but I hope this is all that's wrong with it.

Oh I forgot I uploaded this video also. When I was doing the wheel nuts back up the wheel moves about 1-2 inches back and forward without the car moving, there is a ton of play so I guess thats the clunk/jolt. I didn't see what it was as I already put it back together.

Sorry about the bad quality, its a phone camera and Im holding it with one hand and trying to move the wheel with the other.
