    Default VS Commodore speed/acceleration comparison

Hey guys, just wondering what the V6 VS can stand a chance against in a 0-100 or 400m drag. (Against Fords, etc)

Also, how does a VS compare to a VY? (Both V6, ecotech. I have a buddy wanting a drag but I don't want to be too flogged :P)

    5kw will barely mean anything.

VS is lighter which will count for more than 5kw.

Out of interest, why are you wanting to drag your buddy when you both have stock V6's? might as well go and buy a new and an old golf buggy models and drag them.

apparently RWKW on a vs is like 114ish around that, so over 13-15 year it would have lost quite a bit.

Where do those old KWs go? I've tried looking under the couch and in the last place I left them but I can't find them.

I reckon if you put clear tail lights on yours, you'll win the race for sure.

Money on the VY. A bit more power and better aerodynamics. 8 years more wear on the VS. Better suspension on the VY.
    Yeah, I'd go the VY.

My 2004 vy had about 120rwk on a dyno dynamics dyno as stock... weighs a fait bit more and how the hell are aerodynamics going to come into a 400m race??????????????

i'd probably take the vs as long as they are both auto... both drivers are obviously idiots so a manual just wouldnt work

Against Fords etc is a question no-one can answer. Do you mean a XR6 turbo or a Fiesta?

If I may suggest.. you could tell your buddy you've asked people at the forum and the majority think you would win, but if he wants to prove different he should find someone else with a VS and have a go, because you like having a drivers license..

Haha yeah Altezza = +50HP right guys?

And I don't want to drag him, but he's a friend of a friend, and y'know wants to prove how big his dick is, you know the story. And I mean what Fords would it be on par with?

Mine's an auto, unfortunately. Not sure about his.

However, if/when we 'drag' (or more have a running race :P) I'll let you know how it went.

So he wants to prove how big his dick is, so you seek help in order to facilitate his efforts? Hehe, but seriously - man there's virtually no difference. They're both stocko commodores from a similar period. One is older, the other is lighter. Meh. Why don't you see who the better driver is and find a track. As in, not on a road. With children. WONT SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

Yeah just thought it'd be a pretty close one. Any good tracks around Perth? Not that I would have much chance, power steering pump is broken
