Okay, well today I moved my calais around the back for a few week's, turned on, ran perfectly fine for 5 minutes, about an hour later I had to move it back to wash it, when I was done I went to start it, it starts turning over and firing, then it just cuts out, does this every time and i'm not sure whats going on. Left it for a while came back, nothing. Went to the BP and chucked 5L of fuel in, still nothing. I'm not sure if it's not starting because of the way it's sitting, or if there's a short after washing it (idk if thats possible). Rolled it back 5M onto a flatter surface, nothing. Might have to get RACQ out...
Has anyone had trouble with this? (btw the ground isn't too sloped)
Starting it could of killed the last bit in the battery. 5 minutes running will not charge the amount it took to start it.
I'm just guessing, but try charging the battery first.
Push the remote button again
Try pumping the throttle a few times while cranking it. Sometimes short trips like moving the car from the street to the driveway can "flood" the engine and make it extremely difficult to start afterwards.
Need a part number? PM me.
Luke.
Like, it starts to kick over, then it just stops, as if somethings cutting it off. I'll Roll it down the driveway and use a set of jumpers tomorrow to see if that does the job.
Yeah we tried giving it a little extra but nothing.
Okay, well I'll get my mum's SV6 arround the back to see if we can get it to start, all we need is a long set of jumpers because of the position it's in :/
Dw, put 5 more liters of fuel in and it started first go![]()
