vr bcm replacement

Hi everyone my mate has a vr Calais that has a bcm problem, he has a bcm from a vs statesman with the key fob, can this bcm be used or does he need to get one from a vr.

check the part numbers on both of them, from memory calais are a high level bcm and stato have a luxury bcm

Just got my friend to check the bcms both have high on them does that mean the one from a vs will work or are the vs ones different from vr

pretty sure the wiring is different

but check all the numbers on both units, if they are the same it will work

the vats in vr and vs speak in a different language so the bcms cant switch. also i think that the wireing is different.

Thanks for the info guys I have passed it on to mate, I think he is going to get another one from the wreckers.
