Hi, today i was replacing my headlights on my vn with ones i got of ebay, when i reconnected the battery the high beam globes were on even with the switch off, if i turn the switch to parkers nothing happens, turn headlights on they work and highs work work with dipper switch just the highs closest to the grill stay on all the time, the headlights that were in there originally worked fine and these one are meant to be from a vn so they should work. the previous owner has fitted a vr statesman interior and told me all electrics inside the car are vr could this mean i need vr headlight wiring?
I hope someone has a answer as i am stumped.
cheers justin.
I don't normally answer to posts that have had alternate wiring done as it's the game of chasing tails!! High beam = pull the relay. Apart from that you need a test lamp and go digging as it can be literally anything from crappy wiring to a dodgy switch.. Happy hunting
Cheers,
Dave
