Default Rebuild Carby?? Need some quick advice.

Hi guys, just want to ask, I got a Toyota Hiace Might have seen my campervan thread, its come up real nice, I'll be putting some photos up soon, Its Carby has been proved to be worn as some diaphragms in it are split.

I just want to ask, Does the process of rebuilding it, get it to like 'new' condition? Ive been qouted 250 for a rebuild, and I can get a Asian Aftermarket Copy for around 325 Dollars. Is the process of adjusting it difficult?

The price difference does not waver me, Obviously getting a Genuine rebuilt is good, but what is there in a rebuild, that will still be worn, where as a aftermarket new wont be..

I just need some advice, rebuild a genuine, or buy a brand new chinese aftermarket....

I would rebuild the original, all gaskets, seals and diaphrams are replaced as well as the accelerator pump and needle and seat.

    Chinese aftermarket speaks for itself.

All that for 300 isn't bad. Especially with a warranty.
