If any mechanics/tyre people can help that would be great.
Had a quick look at my old man's car yesterday (2002 Avalon) and saw that the two left tyres were worn quite considerably more than the two right ones.
Is this a wheel balance or alignment issue, or something to do potentially with the steering or something else?
It would be an alignment issue. The car probably pulls to the left when the steering wheel is let go, keeping the car straight requires slight steering to the right to compensate, this wears the outside of the left tyre. The rear one was probably on the front at some stage causing it to wear in the same manner.
Check the inside on the right front tyre, it will have a bit more wear than the outside, this will confirm the pulling to the left.
Sweet, so more than likely he hasn't done an alignment on it in a while, and let it pull more and more??
Tsk tsk.....will sort it out for him.
Cheers
