vr to vs bellhousing

hey guys im putting a 5l 304 from a vr ss into my vs v6 calais and just wonderin whether the bellhousing in the trans is the same and if not can i just change the housing or do i need another trans cheers

Hey mate, no the transmissions are different from V6 to V8. Also you can't change the bell housing on the transmissions of VR and VS's because it is all one piece. VT onwards the bell housing is removable.
