    Default 304 fueling up bad

    Need help vn ss I brought had outstanding problem of running very rich and rough had new Maurine gasket map sensor o2 sensor runs like a dog under 3000rpm then seems to clean itself out maybe cam timing help somebody cheers

    have you tried new spark plugs and leads... sounds like it could be missing somewhat if its running like a dog

    Timing could be out, check if it throwing any error codes up.

    maybe a leaking injector
    or has someone put bigger injectors in it without scaling the ifr table
    thats where i would start look at the injectors and see if they are standard if so get them cleaned and go from there
    are you shore its actually running rich and not something else

    big cam no tune maybe ?????????,
    are you running a cam?? if you are and you dont have a tune thats what i reckon the problem would be

    although im not an expert on the 5L's

    do the simple stuff first
    check the plugs, leads, distributor cap/rotor

    beyond that, I'd be contacting the previous owner (if possible) and checking what has been done to the engine.
    If an aftermarket cam has been fitted, maybe they didn't bother getting a tune done - which is very common, as a proper dyno tune can cost around $1000
    Were the injectors larger flow injectors fitted ?

    Ask the prev owner as many questions as possible about the mods. Then you have a chance of narrowing down the problem
