Hello Everyone,
I've recently had problems with my VN commodore auto wagon. I've done a search through the posts and it sounds like first go might be to change the crank angle sensor, but I thought I will try to be as specific as possible just in case someone can point out something else. A few days ago after filling up with fuel I was driving at about 70km then the engine just very suddenly cut out twice and then very quickly started going again (within a second). I then continued to drive it home (about 25km) without a single problem. I also drove it to work about 4 times after this without a problem, about 300km in total. Yesterday when I finished work, I started the car and was driving it for 5 minutes and then it suddenly stopped. I cranked it over but it would not start again. I left it for about 3 minutes, cranked it over and it started. I drove it for another 5 minutes and it stopped again. Cranked it, wouldn't start. Left it for 3 mins and it started. After this I drove it all the way home (about 20km) without a problem.
Thanks in advance for any help, it will be much appreciated. By the way, other than it stopping it runs perfectly and when it stops its like someone has just turned the key on it.
Some years ago I had a VP did almost the same as your's is doing, changed the CAS, no more problems.
Thanks, I'll buy a new CAS for it and see how it goes !
