Our family has had our VP ss V6 5 speed commodore stolen from ipswich between the dates of the 23/12/2011 and 31/12/2011 and it still missing, I don't know many details at all. I can tell you that it was taken from near one of the Thrifty car rental stores in Ipswich and was apparently seen last in Harvey Bay somewhere, I have been told that the car was used in some illegal activities and was involved in a chase but police could not catch it. The commodore is a faded black in colour, missing the holden badge from bonnet, cracked windscreen, half an exhaust (cannot see any exhaust), chrome 17" rims with a bit of a low profile tyre (don't know the brand), BADBITCH sticker on front windscreen up top, rear window has had a scary lookin clown sticker mostly peeled off, rear spoiler.
That's all I can think of right now but I will post some pictures on here as soon as I can. Please any help would be much appreciated..... If you have any information can you please email me at mgilson1986@hotmail.com Registration Number 615 BWS Queensland plates

what a bugger and a rare car i have only seen one other vp v6 ss
I hope its insured, then its a win win, you get rid of it and some cash in your hand.
Hey, I'm sure it is an original V6 5 speed, I just put up a pic, that is the good side of the car.. the rest of the car is fairly faded
Sad to say it but I'd reckon some ferals took it thinking it was just another Commodore to flog the shit out of and didn't realise it was something special and rare. I hope you get it back but I don't like your chances. At best you might see it is a BBQed shell.
I hope the pricks who did it get caught and also contract aids or something. They clearly deserve it.
Best of luck mate keep us updated. It would get either re birthed striped for parts for another one or joy rided and dumped hopefully not cooked. Thats rare being a V6 ss i think only 50 were made but im not 100%. Post some pics up. cheers Travis.
I might still have an old Street Machine mag with an article on the VP SS V6. Basically it's identical to the V8 except with a V6.
Taken from Wikipedia
The SS V6 was limited production model which had all the features of the regular Commodore SS but utilized the V6 engine in place of the V8. Its was produced to homologate a suitable model for the Group 3E Series Production Cars motor racing category which required a small minimum run of cars to be built. The SS V6 competed against the Ford EB2 Falcon SS in that category.

Not good to here another car stolen wether its and SS or not...
On the VP V6 SS issue I do however seem to remember a magazine back in the early 90's featured an article on the VP SS V6...I know they made a VT SS with the V6 supercharged, as we had a V6 supercharged S and researched them alot before buying it
