ectractor tape causes rash?

Whats the stuff that people wrap there extractors in called?
And whats it made of?

Looks like heshin?

Anyways i had to remove it from around my extractors to find where they're cracked.
My gf touched it and broke out in a rash and my arms and hand feel as though i rubbed against i cactus.
There were little gold flecks all over our skin.

Any ideas?

Heat wrap and usually fiberglass.

The little fibers in fibreglass get in ur skin and ites extramly irritating

Usually only itches for a few days
