    Default supervising a learner

What's the legal age someone can instruct a learner driver.. My question is, do you have to be 25 or can anyone with a full license supervise them

    Cheers

As a learner driver, the person in the passenger seat with you must have a valid, unrestricted Australian driver licence. So if your big brother is on his Ps, he can’t take you out for a drive. And if uncle Jim has lost his licence or forgotten to have it renewed, he can’t teach you either.

    from rta website:

•Be supervised at all times by the holder of a full Australian driver licence
    so full licence

also im pretty sure that the supervising driver has to be under .05 aswell
either that or its now been made to be .00 when supervising.
that would be a rule that would be worthwhile checking out.
how about we make the pedals out of sticky rubber and the shoes with steel spikes. at least my shins would like that

must be diffeerent in victoria =P
either that or the law has changed since back then...

also just for a laugh regarding "learner" driving.
on a boat you can get full licence at 16 (learner age for car).
according to the laws you can be .03 on a full licence =P
(although apparently there is some clause that negates that)
how about we make the pedals out of sticky rubber and the shoes with steel spikes. at least my shins would like that

I'm 21 with my full licence and have been instructing my sister to drive for a few months now. Cops have been sitting next to us and they don't seem to care.

I was always under the impression though that anyone with their full licence and under .05 can be an instructor...scary thought that actually...

How about you ring and talk to the RTA instead of going off what people on a forum say?
