I picked up my SV6 series II on Tuesday and when I did, the reverse camera just had a black screen (with the red/yellow/green overlay), but no picture. The sales rep tried a few times and as we pulled into the service area, the screen was fuzzy, but still not viewable.
The service guy just said give it 24 hours.
Needless to say, it eventually came good and I didn't think much of it.
Then yesterday, the next day, with the car parked tail to the sun, the reverse camera didn't work. Again it came good after a while, but failed on and off during the day.
1. Is the camera's operation unreliable?
2. Should I take it back to holden under warranty to have it fixed? or
3. is this a known issue and there's stuff all I can do about it?
thx
1. = No.
2. = Factory reversing camera not working whilst vehicle is still under warranty..err yeah.. do the whole not happy jan. Don't take BS as that's the point of warranty.
3. = Read 2.
Cheers,
Dave
understood, I went to the service shop for another matter (fixed on the spot) and told them about the camera. They said it's not a known issue (as you've just said as well), and to book it in.
Done, thanks
The reason I question it being possibly buggy is that my brother works with a lot of company trucks that all have them and he says they're forever playing up.
Doesn't matter, It's booked in
My camera has just started doing this too (black screen with red/yellow/green overlay) . Did you get yours fixed?
Cheers, guess it's going for another wee trip back to the garage then.
